Let's Make An Autumn Rainbow

Jeff and Paige explore the science behind the autumn color change and then guide you through making an autumn rainbow. Fall is such an amazing and tactile time of year, it's a great season to go out into the world to listen to the wind and the rustling leaves, smell the crisp air, and touch the great seasonal process that is happening around us!!

This colorful activity can be simple color identification, sorting, and collecting for the littlest nature explorers. For older naturalists, it's a beginning opportunity to work on tree and plant identification. Leave yourself some time to explore the outdoors and collect lots of colorful objects before you start.

If you are working with children under four you may want to paint the rainbow ahead of time, collect leaves and nature objects and then help them match!
